Windward Wonders…What Is Your Favorite Thing About Halloween?

By Published On: October 28, 2025

Welcome to Windward Wonders…?, the section where we spotlight Windward students with a question of the week about entertaining topics ranging from movies to sports teams.

Left to right: Daniel Morrison (’26), Lily Richardson (’28), Elizabeth Kung (’29), Van Tarr (’31)

Daniel Morrison (’26): Honestly, it’s got to be trick or treating. That’s a classic. I’m kind of old for it now, but I still do it every year because I love candy and it’s always fun to go see everyone’s costumes. I always go with friends, so it’s fun to just kind of hang out with them as we just go around the entire neighborhood and see the decorations.

Lily Richardson (’28): I think my favorite thing about Halloween is that everybody gets on board and dresses up and hands out candy. It’s so fun that everybody just does it and agrees that we’re all just going to do this crazy thing.

Elizabeth Kung (’29): My favorite thing about Halloween is probably dressing up for fun. It’s fun to see everyone’s costumes.

Van Tarr (’31): I really like dressing up because it just makes me feel like I can be a different person.
